What’s Happening

We feel very grateful to have been able to work with Gidigaa Migizi (Doug Williams), revered Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg Elder and knowledge keeper, whose oral history that stretched back through centuries of generational knowledge, Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg: This is Our Territory, we had the good fortune to publish. Not only are we honoured to have had that opportunity and experience, but we are also grateful to Doug for having, since that book’s publication, also been a trusted friend to the press, giving generous consult on some of our subsequent editorial decisions. We extend sincere condolences to Doug’s family, community, and the many generations of students that have learned and developed through his work. May it continue.
